Who processes your personal data and why?

In order for the DjustConnect portal to function optimally, certain of your data may be processed by ILVO (whether or not on behalf of the Data Provider or Data Receiver). In doing so, we distinguish between:

Personal data processed by ILVO on behalf of Data Provider and Data Receiver and for which the Data Provider and the Data Receiver are responsible:

  • Data shared through the DjustConnect platform (Agri-food Data)
  • Data required to submit a Data Request. In order to submit the Data Request to the appropriate Farms, the Data Receiver identifies the Farms to whom it wants to submit the Data Request, and the Data Provider identifies the Farms whose Agri-food Data can be offered by their identification numbers.

An overview of which Agri-food Data are exchanged, by which companies and for what purpose, can be found in your personal DjustConnect dashboard under ‘manage data requests’.

If the Agri-food Data contains personal data of the Farmer, the legal basis for the exchange via DjustConnect is the consent requested from the Farmer, except in the case of an exchange for compliance with grant conditions or a legal obligation.

Personal data processed by ILVO itself as data controller:

  • Identification and contact details upon registration (name, first name, e-mail, identification number(s) and CBE number)
  • When registering as a farm, production unit number, herd number, establishment number and supplier number are retrieved from the Agency for Agriculture and Sea Fisheries to identify your farm with sufficient accuracy. An overview can be found in your DjustConnect dashboard.
  • Usage data (consents, transaction data, log data, etc.).
  • Technical data (IP address of the Data Receiver, file types, API usage, information system errors and crashes,...)
  • Contact details when you contact us via the contact form on the Website or by telephone (name, first name, CBE number, e-mail address, telephone number, ...)

These personal data can only be used for the purposes described. For each purpose, the legal basis on the basis of which ILVO processes the personal data is mentioned.

Persoonsgegevens delen

Others with whom personal data (may) be shared

Agri-food data shared via the DjustConnect platform is never shared with others. Only you and the persons (Data Receivers) you authorise yourself have access to your data. This access is limited to what is strictly necessary in the context of the concrete Data Request between Data Provider, Data Receiver and the Farms involved.

In the context of (the continuity of) the service provision, the data may however be shared with:

  • Our processors responsible for our ICT infrastructure and services (IT service providers, hosting provider, external service providers, lawyers, ILVO professional advisors,...).
  • Potential or prospective purchasers of ILVO's DjustConnect.

Where these third parties act as processors, ILVO provides the necessary contractual safeguards.
