DjustConnect was present at AgriTechDag'23
The Test and Experiment Facility 'AgrifoodTEF' offers companies infrastructure and services such as prototyping, image analysis, algorithm training and testing under realistic real-life conditions. This often requires data. For safe and correct sharing of this data, DjustConnect's data-sharing infrastructure and associated services are made available to the companies.
At AgriTechDag '23 at ILVO in Merelbeke, visitors got a taste of the acceleration the TEF can achieve. Several prototypes for the Flemish agricultural market made their public debut in a chain of live demos.
One of these was the first electrically powered autonomous tractor: Djust-E, which gets its name from the data-sharing platform DjustConnect.
DjustConnect was present at the AgriTechDag'23 at ILVO. There, the Test and Experiment Facility 'AgrifoodTEF' was launched to accelerate applications of AI, robotics and data in agrifood. A new demo application on DjustConnect was also presented.
Indispensable step: data sharing
An essential link to make these smart machines work (together) is data sharing between the different machines and their associated platforms. Integration with other sources such as plot and soil data, weather data, etc., is often also an absolute must. With DjustConnect, the agri-food sector has a data-sharing platform that offers the necessary services and guarantees the safe, efficient and transparent exchange of data. The manufacturer and the farmers involved always retain control over the shared data.
New demo application
The operation and added value of DjustConnect services were demonstrated using a new tool: "Carbon in focus". This demo app was developed in the EU project ENVISION H2020. The tool allows any Flemish farmer to visualise the organic carbon estimate of his own plots. These are generated via satellite images by using artificial intelligence. The plot information is obtained via DjustConnect.
In this way, Flemish farmers will be the first to have access to this innovative tool. Always with the ease of use they are used to from DjustConnect and only with their explicit consent.
