API Dairy Climate Scan - Carbon footprint dairy farm

Klimrek - ILVO - Boerenbond - VITO

This API gives access to the results of the Klimrek scan dairy, which is carried out at Flemish dairy farmers.

Interested in these data? DjustConnect ensures that your data request reaches Klimrek. After approval, the data request is forwarded to the concerned farmers. In this way, data sharing is 100% Code of Conduct proof, without managing authorisations yourself. In 1 connection you get access to the data, after permission of the data owner. DjustConnect also ensures that all transactions are legally correct.

  • Carbon footprint of the milk produced per dairy farm
  • Climate impact calculated via life cycle analysis
  • Calculation based on company-specific data (inputs and outputs)
  • Communication sustainability of the milk
  • Advising on climate measures

Which data?

This API displays the carbon footprint, calculated via the climate scan, linked to the correct CBE number and the submission date of the scan. The API is made available by Klimrek.

Klimrek is a VLAIO-agriculture project in which ILVO, Boerenbond and VITO work together on a climate programme for dairy farmers, pig farmers and arable farmers with potatoes in their cultivation plan.

To this end, a climate consultant goes out on the farm with a targeted climate scan and climate course to support the farmers in switching to a more climate-friendly and climate-protective operational management, whereby practical and economic feasibility are also taken into account.

A climate scan based on a life cycle analysis (LCA) is developed per sector, with which the climate consultant visits the farmer to collect the necessary data.

This climate scan is a company-specific screening tool, which makes it clear where the focal points of the company's climate impact lie. With this insight, the consultant can select climate measures tailored to the company. The consultant then visits the company to present and discuss these measures with calculated scenarios. At the same time, a cost-benefit analysis is made to estimate the economic feasibility.

Technical information

All API's on DjustConnect are REST API's.

This API can be called with an HTTP GET call and returns a JSON response.

Mutual TLS authentication (client certificate authentication) is used for authentication. In addition it is necessary to add the following value to the HTTP Headers: "DjustConnect-Subscription-Key" with the key value that can be found in the DjustConnect Portal.

All APIs are made available through Azure API Management.

Identification number

Do you use a number other than the CBE number to identify your farmers?

No problem! Via the DjustConnect Identification Mapping API you can easily link this CBO number to your own identification number.
