Digital climate scan wins Computable Award for IT Project of the Year in Public Market

ILVO's digital climate scan has won the Computable Award for IT Project of the Year in Public Market. The collaboration between Klimrek and DjustConnect ensures that the Klimrek tool, which allows farmers' environmental efforts to be better directed and made visible, can run more efficiently through automatic data input, if the farmer gives permission.

This project was nominated by Computable because they say it is a great example of how sustainability and data reach out to each other and it accelerates digitalisation in the agri-food sector. In the 'IT Project of the Year in Public Market' category, ten projects were nominated from education, healthcare and government. But it was ultimately the digital climate scan, a project by ILVO, Boerenbond, VITO and DjustConnect that won the award. Luka Parade of CEGEKA and Stephanie Van Weyenbergh (ILVO) were honoured to receive the award. "It is thanks to the many sector organisations that supported the project that we were on the podium," Van Weyenberghe stressed afterwards. "The climate scan is a real sector event and you could feel that in the room. It is a nice recognition for the agricultural sector, which has sometimes been in the news negatively recently but which is working on our food production every day."
